Causes of Gynecomastia

Enlarged breasts in men is a condition that affects boys and men. 2 in 10 men can suffer from gynecomastia an issue that leads to self esteem impairment, psychological problems among others.

Despite the fact that enlarged breast tissue in babies is common and normal, the story changes when it comes to grown ups.

Several underlying issues lead to enlarged breasts, skin, and fat in men and among them we have;

Hormonal Changes

Hormones are the main trigger for man boobs. Decreased testosterone level compared to estrogen.
Estrogen is a female hormone responsible for breast development and other female attributes, whereas testosterone is a male hormone that leads to the development of male attributes

Other roots for Gynecomastia include;
Use of Heroin or drug abuse
Anabolic steroids
Anti -androgens
Antibiotics
Certain treatments, such as chemotherapy, heart medications, and AIDs medications among others

Gynecomastia isn’t a life threat and some men live with it for their entire life, but when it comes to self conscious males, the issue must be corrected

Gynecomastia in young boys (puberty) may be a sign of transformation and the man boobs may disappear with time

Gynecomastia in adults (males) may simply be triggered by hormones, or other habits that are out of control. This kind of gynecomastia in India is hardly eliminated by simple medications except treated at an earlier stage. The main permanent treatment remains a surgery

Working on one’s weight in the case of obesity can eliminate the problem

Proper eating habits are also recommended when it comes to gynecomastia
